Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a **Laboratory Information Technology Focal Point** for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in **Plaquemine, LA.** This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. **The Purpose of the Job or Role:**

This role supports site users of Sample Manager (LIMS) and OpenLab Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) to operate, maintain and utilize these Laboratory Information Technology (LIT) tools and equipment to enable efficiency and reliability in laboratory operation.

The role leverages LIT expertise to the labs and plants across the site. This person is the first point of contact for local support during normal office hours and serves as on-site contact for Global LIT partners for advanced troubleshooting and project execution.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Supports implementation of LIT tools and applications for the site labs.

+ Provides 1 st level training on the use of LIT tools and applications.

+ Provides troubleshooting expertise for LIT applications and Chromatography Data Systems.

+ Interfaces with the Global LIT support teams in providing remote troubleshooting for LIT applications and customization used within the site as needed.

+ Understands the general capabilities of applicable LIT tools and engages in continuous learning activities for new versions of CDS.

+ Supports extended maintenance activities in LIT tools.

+ Performs LIMS Label printer hardware setup and configuration as needed

+ Serves as a liaison between Global LIT and the site for server maintenance, upgrades, outages or other LIT communications and initiatives.

+ Participates in Management of Change (MOC) processes related to LIT applications used at the site.


+ Understands basic I/T concepts (hardware, software, basic networking)

+ Strong lab and/or quality background

+ Background in LIMS and/or CDS Systems

+ Able to reach out cross-functionally

+ Good interpersonal skills

+ Good troubleshooting skills

+ Able to multitask and prioritize site LIT issues

+ Understands site quality and analytical work processes.

+ Understands and converses in English.

**Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:**

A 2- or 4-year college or university degree in a technical field (Quality, Computer Science, Chemistry, Math or equivalent) is preferred.

At least 2 years of similar experience is required; including quality or analytical knowledge.

Basic knowledge of and experience with SampleManager LIMS and/or chromatography data systems is preferred but not required.

Basic experience with Microsoft* Office Tools (WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL), with strong emphasis on EXCEL skills.

In addition, attention to detail, accuracy of work, a desire to learn and ability to prioritize work effectively is required.
