**Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job:**


The Facilitator/Trainer is responsible for delivering program curriculum and instruction to participants enrolled Information Technology Workforce Development programs, and services such as instructional support which facilitates the successful achievement of goals established in the Adult Learning Plan, Educational Development Plan (EDP), or the Individual Service Strategy. Providing coaching and guidance for other program activities as it pertains to students enrollment, attendance, participation, and terminal goals.


Class instruction includes the following:


+ **Computer Repair / CompTia A+ Instructor:**


_16-week Computer Repair / CompTia A+ Instructor_


Design, evaluate, and implement course curriculum for the course which includes keeping current on all CompTia test changes, testing platforms, courseware, and online resources. Course materials include the Exam Cram course along with Professor Messer Video library, Udemy software and online videos to cover simulations, and test questions.


+ **Google IT Instructor**


_Instructor for the 15 Week Google IT Support program._


The Google IT Support program is an online course offered through Qwiklabs designed to offer entry level training for individuals entering the IT field. There are 6 courses to complete to earn the Google IT Support badge.


+ **IT Support Specialist Instructor**


_Instructor for the 24 Week IT Support Specialist Program_


The IT Support Specialist program is a combination of the Computer Repair / CompTia A+ and the Google IT program designed to give individuals in IT dual certification upon completion to better their employment opportunities.


**Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities**


1. Development, delivery, and assessment of curriculum

2. Provides instructional delivery and course management in the following areas: writing, social studies, science, reading and mathematics

3. Advises students about educational opportunities such as college, trade schools, and post GED options

4. Assists learners develop exemplary work habits and learn how to work on their own

5. Works collectively with networked computer software to monitor learner progress and assist learners with individualized learning programs

6. Provide monthly reports and/or activities to Director as necessary

7. To ensure that teaching/tutoring standards meet the needs of the participant

8. To provide guidance/coaching that encourages further education, training skills, or employment.

9. Create a positive impression of the college and the department by providing helpful, accurate information to persons or participants of interest.


**Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**


1. Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Teaching/or Tutoring in both private and public sectors desirable.

2. Competency in Computer Software Applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, and Internet Operation.

3. Experience with network learning software.

4. Be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with high quality and strong customer-oriented services.

5. Must be reliable and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

6. Must work with accuracy; possess good communication, written, oral, organizational, and leadership skills.


Must be willing to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and evenings or weekends as needed.


Salary $22.12 per hour
