Description **Infrastructure & Desktop Support Technician**

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our client, a reputable global oil & gas company, **based in Baytown, TX.**

12 months contract and renewable. Target start date is around 3rd or 4th week of April.

**Job Descriptions:**

The Infrastructure and Desktop Support Technician will provide infrastructure support (desktop, server, domain, network) for the L3 Research Network at the Baytown location. The network is comprised of 750 PCs, 60 network switches, 75 servers and approximately 1,000 users.

Daily duties include:

+ Installation and support of CISCO workgroup switch (programming new switches, patching fiber and copper wiring, making port changes, etc.)
+ Installation and support of PC hardware (Dell, HP, etc.)
+ Installation and support of software on PC (Microsoft, Symantec, SCCM)
+ Installation of additional hardware in PC (Ethernet card, Memory, etc.)
+ Installation and support of Server hardware (Dell)
+ Installation and support of software on Server (Microsoft, Symantec, SCCM)
+ Installation and support of printer and barcode reader (HP, Xerox, Zebra)
+ Administration of Active Directory (managing users, groups, and policies)
**Job Requirements:**

+ Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in related areas.
+ Minimum 5 years of onsite infrastructure and desktop (hardware & software) support experience.
+ Experience supporting desktops, servers (hardware, systems & applications), and basic network.
+ Experience in Active Directory.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Pleasant personality & positive attitude.
+ Effective end user communication.
+ Analytical skills & customer oriented.
