Our client a leading medical Device Component Supplier to the Medical and Pharmaceuticals industries. is looking to fill several Inside Sales Specialist.


The primary focus of the Inside Sales Specialist is on customer interaction via telephone and email exchanges and to support the outside sales representatives.


**Responsibilities:**


**Manage and grow the existing business by reacting to requests, uncovering new opportunities as follows:**


1. Identify customers to target for new business activity. Use the internet to research and review existing customer businesses, divisions and clinical market segments.

2. Identify the target customer clinical/market areas the companies products are not currently purchased

3. Contact existing customer contacts at the target customer and ask for new contacts (other divisions/medical groups, etc.), or

4. Make cold calls to identify engineers, product managers or purchasing/sourcing staff members

5. Work with the outside rep and take action to establish direct face-to-face contact (make appointments). Outside representatives will coordinate their own appointments


**Manage, qualify and process incoming sample requests**


The Inside Sales representative will perform triage related to incoming requests from companies, whether existing or new. Once the incoming request is received, the **Inside Sales Representative will:**


1. Process sample request for delivery per the companies processes

2. Research the requesting company to determine if the company is an active customer

3. Call the company to introduce themselves with an objective to identify the associated project details

4. If the customer wishes to order product, take any initial order detail and pass along to process via CSR.

5. Once details are identified, the Inside Sales Representative will hand off detail to the outside sale representative or;


**Manage, qualify and process incoming sourcing requests**


The Inside Sales representative will perform triage related to incoming sourcing requests from companies, whether existing or new. Once the incoming sourcing request is received, the Inside Sales Representative will:


1. Research the requesting company to determine that the company is active

2. Call the company to introduce themselves to identify project details

3. Process the sourcing request per the companies processes

4. Once details are identified, hand off detail to the outside sale representative


**Maintain existing customer accounts, ensuring expected sales (purchases) are met**


1. Perform gap analysis when expected sales (customer purchases) are not met and contact the customer, first by telephone and second, by email when telephone contact cant be met. Share results and escalate to Outside Representative when required.


**Present and associated services**


1. The Inside sales representative should be prepared to present all details related to the company and its services. This can be in the form of simple conversation and slide presentations.

2. The Inside Sales representatives will become familiar with all marketing/sales material and will be able to speak about all detail without notes. Training representatives and support to ensure compliance will be the responsibility of the Team Lead.


**Skills:**


+ Self-starter with the ability to pro-actively pursue sales opportunities according to a plan

+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to build rapport

+ Exceptional listening skills

+ Ability to work within a team structure

+ Ability to learn and retain product specific information

+ Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

+ Goal oriented and able to work under pressure


**Requirements:**


+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

+ 2+ years sales experience

+ Experience selling to engineers a plus

+ Computer literate: MS Power Point, Excel and database experience or CRM a plus

+ Ability to travel locally (if necessary 1 or 2x/year)
