**Instructional Designer** (6 month assignment with potential to go permanent)

**Location:** Cambridge, MA

**Pay:** $48 to $52/hourly


The Global Learning Solutions Innovation Team designs, develops and delivers learning solutions for all employees, using cutting-edge content and learning methodologies

Designs, develops and curates performance-based learning curriculum, individual courses/modules and learning assets

Consistently applies best practices and adult learning principles throughout curriculum and courses


Uses ADDIE and Learning Experience Design models to assess, create and implement learning solutions.

Designs and develops learning assets (participant/facilitator guides, handouts, training aids, power point slides, etc.), as necessary for courses. Designs and develops course/module content to meet all learning objectives while applying instructional design principles and adult learning. Develops learning objectives for all courses, modules and curriculum.

Conducts research through literature searches, internet, professional organizations, etc., to incorporate the most up-to-date and relevant practices to include in all learning solutions. Cites reference materials and coordinates approval from publisher when copyrighted publication copies are utilized during training.

Works collaboratively with key members of Global Learning Solutions team to design, develop and implement learning solutions

Identify appropriate measurement tools for assessing learning solution effectiveness and application after training has been conducted. Design tools, implement and track results. Develop conclusions, reports and make recommendations to Global Learning Solutions team and key stakeholders

Monitors all assigned learning solutions and modifies course content as needed. May attend sessions to assess course flow and effectiveness along with insuring that learning objectives are being met. Regularly meets with Global Learning Solutions team and key stakeholders to receive input/feedback on curriculum and courses as well as provide input to management on course revisions, additions, and deletions.

Creates e-Learning modules using software such as Articulate Storyline or Captivate

Creates learning assets using InDesign or other Adobe products

Directs, records and edits videos with internal subject matter experts using Camtasia

Performs other duties as assigned to meet just in time learning solution needs.

May be involved in Train the Trainer planning and implementation.

Conducts daily business and ensures that all promotional activities, observed or taught, are in accordance with Company Operational Guidelines and Code of Conduct.

Adheres to all legal and operational guidelines set forth in Companys Corporate Integrity Agreement and aligns all direct reports and programming to these guidelines


Bachelors Degree and (3) years instructional design experience or in lieu of a Bachelors Degree, High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 7 years of instructional design experience

Understands instructional design and adult learning principles

Minimum three (3) years instructional design experience

Understands instructional design and adult learning principles

Experience with learning design software including: Camtasia, InDesign, Captivate, Articulate Storyline

Analytical skills, writing skills, creativity and problem solving skills

Pharmaceutical industry experience

Instructional Design Certification is desirable but not necessary
