Kelly is pleased to offer a **Direct Hire** opportunity for an **Instrument & Controls Technician** with a premier employer in Salisbury, MD.

We are excited to partner with a large company in the pharmaceutical industry!

**Work Schedule:** Mon-Fri, 2pm-10:30pm

**Salary:** Competitive with a fantastic benefits package

Relocation package offered for further than 100 miles


This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine calibration, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing cGMP process, facility, and laboratory equipment and instrumentation.


+ Perform activities in compliance with company cGMP and safety policies, procedures, and practices.

+ Expertly operate tools such as PCs and various interface hardware and software to support automation platforms/components such as PLCs and HMIs.

+ Perform advanced-level repairs and troubleshooting.

+ Develops and writes equipment calibration procedures.

+ Maintain calibration database as required.

+ Communicate if any safety equipment is not functional and if any employee does not practice proper safety procedures.

+ Exercise excellent technical, mechanical, and control system aptitude/skills in order to accurately identify root causes for machine failures or breakdowns and the repair accordingly.

+ Read and understand technical information provided in equipment manuals and any associated electrical or mechanical drawings.

+ Able to read and understand PLC (programmable logic controller) control logic, as well as other configurable controllers such as VFDs, relay logic, etc.

+ Document all activities as required by SOP, Policy or other work instruction.

+ Overtime work may be required during standard shifts or on weekends to assure production schedules are met, as well as maintain PM schedules.


+ Associate degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

+ Formal technical training and 5 + calibration and controls experience in the pharmaceutical industry may be considered in lieu of an associate's degree.

+ 2-5 years of instrumentation and controls experience.

+ 2 years in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.

+ An equivalent combination of education and experience.
