Description Kelly Services® is proud to offer an exciting summer internship opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic bioinformatics/computational biology student with a top Pharmaceutical Research and Development company located in Spring House, PA.

The team you will be part of works on biomarkers and biological mechanisms identification using large datasets. The intern will be involved in the analysis of RNASeq datasets from blood and tissue samples related to Lupus. The successful candidate will have access to cutting-edge methodology and technologies (e.g., machine learning, topological network analysis, cloud computing to analyze the data). The candidate will work in a very dynamic environment and will interact closely with scientists from Immunology Biomarkers and Immunology Discovery, gaining vast expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.

**Qualifications**


+ The candidate must be a current student in Bioinformatics or a similar discipline.
+ MS or PhD student is preferred.
+ Experience with high content data analysis, such as RNAseq, and proteomic data is preferred.
+ The candidate must have strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively work on a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
+ Proficiency in at least one standard analytical platform (e.g., R, Bioconductor) and a programming language (e.g., Python, C++) is required.
+ Proficiency in Linux is preferred.
+ Expertise in machine learning is preferred.
+ Interest in epigenetics is preferred.
