+ Pay Rate: $17.00-18.00 / hour (depending on experience)

**Work Schedule:**

+ Monday Friday, 6:00 am 2:30 pm

**Job Description** **:**

The Inventory Clerk works under general supervision as a part of the warehouse team tracking the movement of material/supplies. Counts, sorts and records numbers, codes or other information for inventory. Stocks shelves, areas, departments, etc. Additional qualifications may include the ability to identify flaws and defects and work with detail and reporting as necessary (i.e., check numbers, compare lists). Distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products to support the production floor and any other internal customers. May use technology (computers, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.

**Job Requirements** **:**

+ Work effectively with all departments to meet material requirements in support of Production as well as Customer Service.

+ Assembling and filling requests for materials by reading customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved from receiving or storage areas to production or to other designated areas.

+ Assist receiving, checking in merchandise, opening containers matching to purchase orders for processing.

+ Sorting and placing materials or items in designated storage area on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

+ Rotate stock to assure first in, first out (FIFO) flow of inventory.

+ Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

+ Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

+ Weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

+ Participate in 5S activities.

+ Organizing, sweeping, dusting, and mopping work area for orderliness at all times. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

+ Inventory cycle counts: Performs and manually records physical counts of items assigned on daily basis.

+ Assisting in counting of physical inventory Complies with company policies and guidelines pertaining to inventory control, quality, and safety

+ Performs all work in accordance with established quality and safety policies/standards

+ Other duties as assigned by supervisor

**Skills & Abilities** :

+ Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

+ Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)

+ Basic Knowledge of MRP/ERP system modules, basic inventory control, production experience

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

+ Ability to utilize effective communication skills

+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

+ Ability to utilize pallet jacks as well as forklifts in a safe manner to move stock to desired locations.

+ Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

+ Ability to think critically and reason to solve a problem

+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

+ Positive self-starter attitude with an eagerness to learn

+ Willing to working independently and in a team setting of a dynamic environment

+ Project a professional image in person, on the phone, and through e-mail correspondence

**Physical Demands/Abilities** :

+ **Regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time**

+ **Occasionally required to walk, reach, kneel, crouch, climb, or balance**

+ **Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently life and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds**

+ **Frequently required to use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects such as tools and to reach and extend arms**

+ **Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently life and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required**

**Education/Experience Requirements** **:**

+ High School Diploma / GED / or equivalent education or experience

+ Related technical or vocational training or certification considered an asset.

+ Previous experience in a stockroom or as an inventory clerk or material handler preferred

+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

**Additional Information:**

+ Warehouse environment

+ No specific PPE Required

+ Dress Code: Plain/Solid colored t-shirt, jeans, work boots (steel-toed not required)
