**Position** : IT Helpdesk/Call Center Support

**Location** : New Orleans, LA

**Duration** : 3+ month

**Pay** : $15 - 20hr DOE

**Summary** :

Acts as a support arm for all corporate infrastructure support and application teams. Follows all required policies and established corporate standards.

**Description** -

Level 1 Support to analyze and resolve assigned problem tickets; documents problem resolution and communicates impact to internal customers; identifies, documents, and escalates issues

Use Service Desk Tool to document and record all IT issues and activities

Help desk technician to serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email and support portal. An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient in dealing with customers.

Serve as the first contact for customer phone calls, emails, and portal requests.

Create, update and escalate trouble tickets using our helpdesk support software.

Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose application, computer and network problems.

Walk the customer through the problem-solving process

Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

Follow-up and update customers with status and information

Perform break fix of hardware and rebuild PC/Laptops as needed.


Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control

Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products

Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

Attention to detail

Proficiency in English

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer-oriented and cool-tempered

IT Related Certification(s) and/or Degree(s) a plus

**Related Experience:** General IT Experience, Minimum of 3 Years required with helpdesk specific experience. Minimum of 3 years working with 50 end-users.


Minimum of 3 years of knowledge in the technologies used within IT Area:

Windows Desktop environment configuration and troubleshooting including Windows XP

Desktop troubleshooting skills

PC Hardware build and configuration skills

General knowledge of handheld devices (Smartphones, Blackberry)

General knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
