Responsible for performing regular janitorial tasks, some landscaping duties and assisting maintenance technicians with facilities maintenance and repairs; and performs other tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs bi-weekly cleaning of all facility restrooms, break rooms, lobby, conference rooms, hallways, staircases and common areas.

- Removes waste from all offices and facilities at least twice weekly.

- Maintains appropriate supply of cleaners, paper products and cleaning equipment to ensure sufficient supplies are available as needed throughout the month.

- Vacuums entire facility at least once every two weeks.

- Waxes/buffs solid surface floors on a regular schedule.

- Replaces light bulbs throughout facility as needed.

- Monitors and replaces AC filters throughout facility monthly.

- Move furniture, equipment and other items within the facilities as needed.

- Performs light landscaping tasks - primarily caring for ferns around front entrance.

- Pressure washes external facility as needed.

- Cleans front lobby windows as needed.

- Provides support to facilities maintenance and repairs as needed.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or college courses in facilities maintenance, electrician, plumbing or related field preferred.

- Two or more years- experience working in a janitorial or building maintenance role - preferably in a commercial or industrial environment.

- Must be able to communicate orally with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide useful information.

- Must be able to communicate in writing with team members, co-workers, employees, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide useful information.

- Must be able to work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes, indoors or outdoors to complete work assignments.

- Must be able to observe, record, and report unsafe working conditions.

- Must be able to follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.

- Must be able to follow orders and complete work assignments with a minimum of supervision.

- Must be able to distinguish frequencies, sounds, colors and odors in the operation of equipment in order to troubleshoot for repairs.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.

- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.

- Lifting of 35-50 lbs may be necessary when moving raw cable and completed tasks

- 20/20 binocular vision (corrected) with ability to perform work using microscope for extended periods of time.
