Kelly Services is looking for ASSEMBLERS in the ROCKFORD AREA for SECOND and THIRD SHIFTS!



Second shift hours are 2:00pm - 10pm, Monday through Friday; Third shift hours are 10:00pm - 6:00am, **_Sunday through Thursday_**



*These are not sit down or work at a work station assembly orders not typical assembly jobs. Candidates must rotate daily between stations and are working with hand tools and power tools (vice grips, plyers, drills, screwdrivers, etc.)



**Summary of Position**



The Assembler is responsible to work from engineering prints and assembly process sketches working closely with the Line Supervisor. Additionally, the incumbent must comprehend the requirements necessary to meet production schedules; i.e., material, personnel, equipment and order scheduling, as well as have the ability to set up and make minor adjustments to a limited number of assembly equipment. Additionally, the incumbent must pack completed products according to customer order, including the appropriate number of units and instructions, taping and labeling appropriately.



**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**




1. Responsible to correctly set up and perform a limited number of subassembly, assembly, testing, and packing operations within the Assembly department.

2. Ensure productivity is maintained at 100% or above to minimize cost to the department, while maintaining schedule integrity.

3. Ensure that the quality of products being made is within company standards, limiting customer dissatisfaction.

4. Assemble small and large parts using fingers, hands, wrists arms and shoulders.

5. Recognize potential problems with products or processes to ensure that company quality standards are maintained and trouble shoot as necessary.

6. Ability to read simple prints and engineering specifications.

7. Maintain and increase job skills to allow for flexibility within the Department.

8. Identify non-conforming product and follow ISO procedures.

9. Provide input during testing and final acceptance.

10. Responsible for completing any attendant SPC paperwork as well as other routine paperwork required by the department.

11. Ensure that accuracy, neatness and legibility of paperwork is maintained, minimizing cost to the department through elimination of tracking and corrections of mistakes.

12. Other duties as assigned.



**Assembler Job Requirements:**


*High School Diploma or equivalent required



Prior hand and/or power tool experience is required.

*Must be okay with getting dirty this is a dirty job! Oil, grease, etc.

*Experience working on cars would also be good

*Blueprint experience is a plus but not a must. Must be willing and able to learn to read blueprints.

*Must be able to work overtime on Saturdays as needed. Could work up to 3 Saturdays a month if they are busy. They try not schedule Saturdays on holiday weekends. Normal hourly weeks are between 40-50 hours
