Kelly is hiring a **QA Lab Technician** for one of our clients in **Clark, NJ.**
+ ***Work Mon-Fri. OT as needed.
+ 3rd shift: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
+ Pay: $20-25/hr
+ 6 month contract
Job Description:
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to taste meat products and no dietary restrictions.
Must be able to be exposed to and smell a variety of flavor and fragrance products, essential oils and raw materials.
Must be able to stand and work at a lab bench for long periods of time.
Must be able to see to operate equipment and interpret results.
Primary Purpose: To provide administrative, technical, and testing support to lab personnel and department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Maintain log(s) of all samples for evaluation.
2. Prepare composite samples.
3. Perform visual and odor screening to become knowledgeable regarding raw materials and products.
4. Verify sample information.
5. Prepare materials and products for laboratory evaluation.
6. Learn sensory, physical, chemical or instrumental evaluation methods.
7. Retrieve standards and generate worksheets.
8. Maintain clean & safe lab equipment and environment.
9. Utilizes wet chemical, instrumental, physical, and or sensory methods to determine specification parameters of raw materials and finished products.
10. Submit evaluation results to respective areas involved
11. May perform other duties as required by the Department.
12. Follows all quality, safety, and company protocols & procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Basic reading and Math skills
Science, analytical and problem solving aptitudes.
Minimum of 1 - 5 years experience preferred
Working Environment:
Laboratory environment with some exposure to production environment.
