Kelly is hiring 2 **Laboratory Technicians** for one of our clients in **Garland, TX.**


+ Steel toe shoes are required to travel to different departments.

+ Mon-Fri, with some OT. Hiring manager will provide shift times

+ 3 month contract; potential to convert to permanent based on business needs as state continues to reopen

+ Pay: $20/hr


About the role:


+ Employee will perform batch testing, raw material testing, and batch adjustment calculations. Evaluate results of tests conducted and approve those that meet all batch acceptance-testing specifications. Report all test results that do not meet specifications.

+ Advises Production of approved batch adjustments.

+ Perform reagent preparation, reagent standardization, method assurance, and method performance evaluations as required and outlined in the each Quality Assurance Test Method (QATM) used by the laboratory. Document all test results in accordance with current Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and report all discrepancies.

+ Test and evaluate use of salvage / rework material before its introduction into new production batches.

+ Perform and document periodic calibration, maintenance, repairs and modifications to all laboratory equipment.


Summary:

The main function of a lab technician is to perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. A typical lab technician may work under the supervision of a medical technologist.


Job Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment.


Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.


Analyze, gather and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs and narratives


. Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating and identifying microorganisms for analysis.


May examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.


Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.


Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.


Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.


Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.


Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.


Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.

0-2 years experience required.
