Kelly Services is currently seeking a local **_Lab Technician II_** _for_ one of our top clients in Elk River, MN.

**Projected Duration** : 04/09/2018 to 10/08/2018

**Type** : Contract

**Pay Rate Range** : Up to $15

**Shift:** Monday- Friday, occasional Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm

**Responsibilities:**


+ Responsible for receiving and processing a large number of samples, and performing a variety of basic chemical and physical analyses.
+ Daily processing of lab samples – to include but not limited to; grinding, scanning by NIR, labeling, weighing, and data entry
+ Develops proficiency in multiple basic analysis, and demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems and meet deadlines without significant supervising
+ Supports the data quality program by evaluating results according to specified standards
+ Readily understands training for new analytical techniques and ability to apply training to role
+ Demonstrates awareness of team goals and objectives
+ Promotes a safe work environment through proactive safety coaching and demonstrates trend toward becoming a safety champion
+ Without direct supervision, performs basic chemical and physical analysis on multiple materials for the support of research, development, and production activities
**Required Qualifications:**


+ **At least two years of relevant experience**
+ **Local candidate!**
+ Ability to effectively understand and communicate about basic analysis
+ Moderate computer skill
+ Ability to multi-task and set daily priorities
**Preferred experience:**


+ 4 year degree preferred
**Dress Code** :


+ Leather shoes are required for laboratory work. It is the employee’s responsibility to have adequate footwear prior to work start date.
+ Contact lenses are not allowed in the lab
**Candidates must pass background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical including lifting/mobility test, respirator certification questionnaire, spirometry, and baseline hearing test.
