Description **Job Description**

The Lab Inventory Technician is responsible to move component and fixture inventory through the lab, support lab inventory activities, and input purchase requisitions to SAP. Work is performed in a fast paced environment within tight time constraints. Unusual hours may be required. This is a salaried non-exempt position.


1. Input purchase requisitions into SAP system.

2. Receive inventory in SAP to reconcile requisitions input.

3. Support the inventory coordinator with inventory movements through the lab.

4. Prepare parts readiness for upcoming scheduled tests; taking a list of required parts provided by validation engineers, collecting parts from local storage and place parts in ready to test location.

5. Take post-test parts and replace to lab inventory as directed by validation engineer.

6. Assist reception of incoming parts; supporting inventory coordinator adding parts to lab database and moving parts to storage locations in lab.

7. Perform regular lab database part location audits to verify inventory accuracy.

8. Perform regular lab spare parts inventory audits to verify inventory accuracy.

9. Assist validation engineers to gather parts for long-term storage in off-site warehouse.

10. Assist validation engineers to gather parts for scrap when no longer needed.

11. Verify inventory of lab consumables used in testing and facilities activities, order as necessary.

12. Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities when needed.

13. Must comply with all current 5S standards for maintaining clean work stations and an organized work environment.

14. Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures.

15. Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Skill Set:

1. Knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO 17025 procedures is preferred.

2. Ability to use SAP system for purchase requisitions.

3. Ability to understand and follow procedures for inventory systems.

4. Ability to operate an inventory database including updating part location and following procedures to move parts within that database.

5. Ability to identify and resolve routine problems.

6. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

7. Ability to navigate Internet and Intranet software packages.

8. Ability to operate a motorized part collection device (Crown WAVE).

9. Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers.

10. Must be flexible, dependable and creative.

11. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

12. Professional verbal and written communication skills (English required).
