Kelly is hiring a **Laboratory Manager** for one of our biotech clients in **Saint Louis, MO**


+ Monday-Friday: Flexible hours between 6:30am-6pm- 40 hours a week. Orientation lasts for 3 days and run 8am-2pm (hours available after if you want to work 8 full hours).

+ Proficient in Excel. Team Player, you will be face of Stockroom.

+ Pharm/Scientific background is a plus but more importantly a head for inventory.

+ Very friendly group. Interacting with 2 teams of 25.

+ No guarantee for Perm hire in this role but always a possibility to move to another role or if there is growth to stay in this role.

+ Pay: $20/hr


How will you make an impact?

You will be part of an upbeat team that develops methods for manufacturing biological pharmaceuticals for clinical trials and beyond. By maintaining our inventory of laboratory supplies, you will help us more efficiently conduct the experiments needed to bring potential new medicines into production.


What will you do?

Maintain both the physical inventory and computer-based records of lab supplies

Help users with the inventory system (scanning QR codes, entering budget codes, etc.)

Order lab supplies to maintain inventory levels

Help keep the laboratory clean, organized, safe, and stocked

Additional tasks could include routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment such as pH meters and spectrophotometers, preparing buffers, and assisting with experiments


Education:

High school diploma or GED


Experience:

Demonstrated experience managing a complex transition or project is a plus.


Competencies:

Must be able to communicate clearly and build good working relationships with coworkers and outside vendors

Should be comfortable using telephone, email, and Microsoft Teams to coordinate with coworkers, storage facilities, and vendors

Must be comfortable working with computers, especially Microsoft Excel and web-based forms and spreadsheets. Experience with Smartsheets is a plus.

Need to have organizational and communication skills to envision the logistics of moving boxes and pallets of lab supplies with minimal disruption to users




Physical Requirements:

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Lift objects up to 50 lbs. to a cart and push cart short distances on a regular basis. Stand up to 60% daily. Walk within lab and between buildings daily. Repetitive hand motions.
