Quality Control Technician

The QC Tech will be responsible for maintaining the company quality programs. This position will ensure that all quality programs meet or exceed BRC, FSMA, and HACCP standards as well as all other regulatory, customer and company related quality and food safety requirements. The QC Tech will also support the quality release of finished goods, raw material, confirmation of reformulation of existing products and support the quality review process for confirming all products produced are consistent with the quality and sensory attributes.


**Essential Duties:**

Verify adherence and maintenance of the Company Food Safety, Compliance, and Quality Systems.

Routinely performs quality tests and analysis on raw materials, finished products, production equipment and environment.

Performs inspections and audits of the manufacturing environment and reports results to management.

Works closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to collect and communicate quality data and parameters.

Works closely with R&D to support plant production trials.

Follows laboratory standard operating procedures to produce accurate and repeatable results.

Maintains hygiene and organization standards in the QA Laboratories.

Oversees the production and quality of mycelium starter cultures.

Complies with all company safety and Good Manufacturing Practices policies.

Immediately reports any food safety or quality issues to the QA/QC Manager or other appropriate individual authorized to initiate action.


**Education and Qualifications**


High School Diploma or GED


1 year of manufacturing experience


**Preferred**


Associates Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry or related field


QA Experience in food manufacturing a plus
