**Laboratory Technician - Entry Level, San Diego, CA**

We have multiple opportunities open for Laboratory Technicians, and currently need three (3) additional technicians to support manufacturing functions in a GMP facility!!!

**Schedule/Shift:** 1st shift, Mon.-Fri., 8:00am-4:30pm

**Pay Rate:** $12/hr

**Summary:** As a Laboratory Technician, you will work under close supervision; this position is responsible for a variety of manufacturing support functions involving the operation of lab equipment and conduct of procedures/tasks according to established GMP, under the direction of senior staff.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Carry out tasks in support of experimentation and production activities as directed.
+ Participate in Lean Initiatives.
+ Follow all safety guidelines, manufacturing policies and procedures. Operate under strict QSR compliance.
+ Operate laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices.
+ Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repair.
+ Obtain and stock laboratory supplies as directed.
+ Maintain records as directed in an accurate and thorough manner.
+ Clean laboratory area, equipment, and glassware as necessary.
+ Carry out functions which may require multiple task coordination.
+ Performs other duties & projects as assigned.
+ Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
+ Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
+ Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of company Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
+ Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities.
**Job Requirements:**


+ Currently attending a college or university and working toward achieving an Associate's degree (AA / AS) or Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) including laboratory coursework in biology, chemistry or related field. Training in the operation of lab equipment and use of lab chemicals and tools.
+ 0-2 year’s experience.
+ Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintains accurate records and notes, and carry out assignments in a thorough, conscientious fashion while adhering to safe laboratory practices.
+ Knowledge of a variety of lab equipment and their operation is preferred.
+ Work with semi-automated equipment.
+ Knowledge of MS Office and manufacturing systems.
+ Tools and Equipment Used: Various manual tools and semi-automated and automated pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment; computer and hazardous materials may be used. Possible exposure to Blood borne pathogens and chemicals.
