**Job Description**



**Position Overview**



Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, products and their components meet our quality specifications. Responsible for the testing and analysis of finished products and raw materials to applicable quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for producing the quality documentation associated with testing and analysis.





**Duties and Responsibilities**




+ Responsible for testing and analysis of all manufactured products and applicable raw materials to ensure they meet our quality specifications as well as customer or regulatory requirements.

+ Responsible for maintaining and retaining test results and other quality related records in an orderly, well defined manner.

+ Accurately post (into company ERP system), finished goods product ion to inventory, including accurately reporting the time and materials to produce the product as well as associated serial lot tracking information.

+ Responsible for preparing and mailing samples to customers and external testing services.

+ Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with quality responsibilities including, but not limited to: Internal Quality Auditing, preparing and distributing ISO 9001 and cGMP documentation, root cause analysis and corrective action, suggesting and implementing continual improvement ideas, and responding to customer quality questionnaires as assigned.

+ As required, assist the Quality Assurance Manager with purchasing/receiving, inventory, and/or safety-related duties.

+ Provide requested testing data to other Managers and Customers in a timely fashion.

+ Maintain QC test equipment; performing calibration tasks as and when required, ensuring faults are reported immediately.

+ Report product faults and failures to Management in a timely fashion, providing relevant technical detail to aid in their resolution in order that product can be retested and the effectiveness of corrective actions confirmed.

+ Plan own work load in accordance with departmental priorities ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources, adherence to deadlines, and the reporting of progress to your Manager.

+ Provide data and contribute to the preparation, update and resolution of customer returns, non-conformances, root cause analysis and containment in order that actions can be implemented and quality standards maintained.

+ Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment and materials in order to maintain a safe work environment.

+ Maintain lab cleanliness and organization to ensure safety and consistency in test performance.

+ Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate lab supply inventory.

**Qualifications and Experience**




+ Associates or Bachelors degree in Chemistry or other applied science or technology field.

+ Experience in quality control and testing environments.

+ Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) - FSSC 22000 or 117 cGMPs- and ISO 9001 standards and compliance is desirable.

+ Knowledge of quality documentation process and document control practices desirable.

+ Quality auditing experience a plus.

+ Computer competent and able to display analytical aptitude.
