+ Direct Hire

+ Shift: Sun-Thur OR Tues-Sat 7a-330p

+ Pay Rate: $19-$20/hr


**Job Summary:**


This position is responsible for preparing medical devices and/or samples for assigned testing in compliance with GLP, GMP, and ISO standards, by applying knowledge of biology, engineering, or other relevant scientific methodology.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Provide operational support for Sample Preparation activities, including but not limited to preparing and extracting medical devices for testing

+ Performs job-specific tasks in compliance with and adherence to applicable Regulations, International Standards, and company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

+ Works on assignments per written procedures

+ Informs management and when a deviation from accepted practice is recognized

+ Use of aseptic technique when performing work

+ Performs surface area calculation estimates on medical devices

+ Reviews work submitted by Study Operations to ensure instructions are sufficient for preparation

+ Works under close supervision from department supervisor or senior personnel. Appropriately asks for clarifications of instructions as needed.

+ Performs work in tandem with other department personnel and/or as delegated by management or senior personnel.

+ Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals.

+ May be required to assist in other departments as needed.

+ May be required to work overtime, holidays and/or weekends.

+ Other duties as assigned


**Qualifications:**


+ Minimum of an Associates Degree in a Bioscience field, with a minimum of 6 months of related experience in an educational or commercial laboratory environment

+ In lieu of a completed degree, a minimum of one year of related experience is required.

+ Experience reading and applying detailed written instructions (SOP, Protocols, etc.)

+ FDA regulations

+ General laboratory acumen

+ Quality Systems in a regulated environment

+ Ability to use a caliper and conduct measurement determination as it relates to determining surface areas of 3D objects

+ Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.

+ Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and/or Good Documentation Practices

+ Working knowledge of extraction tasks, equipment monitoring and/or aseptic technique

+ General knowledge of the medical device industry
