Laboratory Technician - Quality Control

Kelly Scientifics is looking for a motivated individual to join one of our partners for an exciting QC Laboratory Technician role.


SUMMARY


The QC Lab Technician will perform the quality control functions under the direction of the Sr Manager, Quality. The QC Lab Technician will be responsible for supporting a broad range of QC activities at the Maple Grove, MN facility. The day-to-day activities will consist of maintaining QA/QC processes, testing and monitoring of products and environment, recording, and analyzing results gathered during product production as well as managing incoming and outgoing shipments.


RESPONSIBILITIES


+ Perform daily receipt, inspection, and release of raw materials

+ Laboratory testing preparation activities (e.g. reagent/solution preparation, serial dilutions, aliquoting)

+ Perform quality control testing including but not limited to: qPCR, FLIPR (high-throughput plate reader assays), microbiological testing, and immunostaining

+ Perform data analysis and draw comparisons to historical data and established quality specifications

+ Perform entry of all materials used into Microsoft Dynamics GP (ERP system)

+ Ensure that the facility is within specification for all environmental monitoring

+ Clearly and accurately reporting result on all testing conducted, including reporting of inconsistencies or variations from routine work via non-conformance reports

+ Routine equipment monitoring and associated documentation

+ Maintain quality records using Good Documentation Practices

+ Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures, Test Methods and Work Instructions as needed

+ Performs other duties as assigned


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


+ Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 0-3 years of experience

+ Experience working in a Laboratory Environment with high complexity testing

+ Previous cell culture experience preferred with microbiology, human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) and related differentiated cell types.


REQUIRED SKILLS


+ Experience with Good Documentation and Good Manufacturing Practices

+ Experience working in a regulated field highly desired

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Expertise using Microsoft products
