**Lab Technician / Raritan, NJ**

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Lab Technician for one of our top clients in Raritan, NJ

As a Lab Technician placed with Kelly Services you will be responsible for supporting the Sterility Assurance department with the following:

+ Responsible for supporting sample processing and testing activities for new product development / process development & optimization, and validation of healthcare (medical device and pharmaceuticals) and consumer products.

+ Responsible for supporting laboratory and processing equipment qualification activities.

+ Responsible for executing general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, equipment monitoring and preventative maintenance.

+ Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of materials and supplies for the laboratory including ordering, receipt, QC testing and storage.



+ Support activities related to processing of samples at the Raritan site, including:

+ Receipt and logging of samples in accordance with site procedures.

+ Pre-processing sample storage in accordance with site procedures.

+ Shipping processed samples.

+ Responsible for calibration and preventative maintenance activities for equipment including, generation of POs, shipping to vendors, receiving and documentation of completion in site CMMS.


+ Support the execution of sample processing in a timely manner to ensure optimal turn-around time for all sample processing requests.


+ Ensure all lab materials and supplies are stocked, qualified and ready for use.


+ Ensure all training requirements for equipment, test methods and processes are completed on time.


+ Support sample processing requests, including preparation of documentation and reports.

+ Support equipment qualification activities.

+ Collate data and documentation and generating completion reports.

+ Perform general laboratory maintenance tasks such as cleaning, equipment monitoring and preventative maintenance.

+ Support the requirements for Quality Systems activities including Quality Events and CAPAs.


+ Support all contractors, tours, visits and training activities for reprocessing related activities or equipment


+ Support cross training of peers as needed.


+ Undergraduate degree in Laboratory Sciences (or equivalent).

+ 1-3 years of related experience.

+ The individual must be self-starting and results-oriented with the ability to work independently while also being a productive contributing team player.

+ The individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ The individual must have effective time management skills to allow for multi-tasking of responsibilities.

+ The individual must have the ability to work in a matrix environment, with senior level management, and ability to influence and present sensitive information to all levels of the organization is required.

+ Knowledge of sterilization processing (E-beam, Gamma, Ethylene oxide, steam), dosimetry and/or analytical laboratory instrumentation (e.g. UV Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Spectrometer) a plus.

+ Experience with quality system activities and QA compliance including change control, calibration, preventative maintenance, and documentation a plus.
