Everyday Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) connects scientific professionals with opportunities to advance their careers. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Laboratory Technician** to work with one of our top clients in Albuquerque, NM.



This is a temporary 3 month position with possible extension.



Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm



**Summary:**



The Lab Technician is responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including assembly of laboratory chemicals, electro-mechanical items and general consumables assembly. Works independently and with quality control, manufacturing engineers, production personnel and technical researchers as needed. This position also provides support to inventory control, shipping and receiving and biological reagent kit manufacturing.



**Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ Stage work area and perform product subassembly and final product assembly according to work instructions.

+ Work in a production laboratory, working with laboratory equipment, bio-hood, pipettes and other tools.

+ Connect cables, tubes and wiring according to specification sheets and work instructions.

+ Inspect, test and adjust completed assemblies to ensure that all assemblies meet specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements.

+ Maintain production line housekeeping, safety and organization of production and inventory.

+ Understand and follow safety and PPE policies.

+ Provide support to inventory control as needed; includes conducting cycle counts as assigned.

+ Provide support to Quality Assurance as needed.

+ Inspect finished or in-process product to ensure quality requirements such as correct lot numbers, part numbers, and expiration dates are accurate.

+ Completing batch record documentation.

+ Contribute to process improvement and process development.

+ Participation in maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment.

+ Maintain physical inventory accuracy by processing, aliquoting, vialing and labeling materials.

+ May provide training for co-workers.

+ Effectively communicate issues, problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy, and reliability of laboratory data.

+ Other duties as required.



**Minimum Requirements:**




+ Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field is desired.

+ 1 plus year experience working in a laboratory setting

+ Laboratory Personal Protection Equipment, Basic Laboratory Protocols, and knowledge of laboratory tools

+ Able to communicate well with co-workers, Leads, Supervisors and Managers.

+ Good verbal and written communications skills.

+ Shows attention to detail and ability to check work carefully and thoroughly.

+ Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and ability to respond quickly to issues related to the LEAN manufacturing model.
