Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensures that all SOP-s, GMP-s and safety regulations are being followed at all times.

2. Oversees employees working on the line. Must set the example for others.

3. Ability to arrive early and work overtime, as needed, to ensure production goals are achieved. Must be able to meet the schedule demands of production.

4. Ensures that only trained and qualified personnel work in the production department.

5. Responsible for hands-on training of new hires, employees transferred from other departments, and temporary employees.

6. Must immediately report all safety incidents or accidents to the Production Manager and Plant Manager.

7. Must immediately report all quality issues to the Production Manager and Plant Manager.

8. Ensure production lines are running at the standard speed.

9. Makes sure each production line has all supplies necessary for production to run smoothly and efficiently.

10. Shuts lines down in time to clean up area. Makes sure at the end of the day or run the line is clean from the front to the back. Oversees clean-up efforts when line goes down in the middle of a run.

11. Makes sure all equipment is turned off at the end of the day or production run.

12. Prepare production lines for the following days production as needed.

13. Provides relief for the line operators as needed.

14. Ensures that all downtime is accurately recorded and given to the Plant Manager.

15. Makes sure all scrap is counted and turned in at the end of the shift or production run.

16. Communicates with associates on proper inventory counts for return stock and proper tagging of materials.

17. Verifies pallet counts for correct inventory.

18. Makes sure there is clear lines of communication between maintenance, warehouse, and blending department for the efficient use of production personnel.

19. Coordinates with warehouse personnel to move finished goods pallets off of the production line and has them to restock the line with components as needed.

20. Performs data entry on Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application to include entering pallet tags, restocked materials, discarded scrap materials, and tracking logs for all drug items produced.

21. Maintains and reconciles tracking logs for all drug items produced.

22. Assumes the duties of the Assistant Production Manager in his/her absence. This includes supervising the floor and posting production in Process Pro.

23. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


- Minimum Requirements - High school diploma or G.E.D. and two years- experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge and experience with SOP-s, GMP-s, and FDA and OSHA regulations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time (approximately 80% of the time is spent standing up); walk; sit; reach; move; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds.

High school education; good eye/hand coordination; basic understanding of filling equipment; ability to lift and stack 50lb containers; ability to stand, stoop, lift and bend as needed; computer literacy: basic skills with MS Word and Excel; daily supervision of production personnel. Must place a strong emphasis on attention to detail and documentation. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
