Lead Project Manager/ Program Manager (Dayton, OH)

Medical Devices client building new additive technology production lines is currently hiring a Lead Project Manager. This position is a Direct Hire role.


Performs non-technical project completion from initiation to delivery. Engages cross-functional teams and measures activities to bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Daily Responsibilities:

Works with leadership to determine project specifications and prepares project design, customer requirements, and performance standards.

Prepares project schedule, calculating time requirements and sequencing all project elements from initiation to project completion.

Develops project objectives through the review of project plans while conferring with management.

Reviews project status reports and recommend follow-up actions.

Identifies the best applicable technology platform to run program and projects, specifically addressing collaboration, communication, and project tracking capabilities.

Lead major Projects and Programs providing technical and leadership support to teams.

Implement process improvements on Design Transfer process introducing New Processes/Products utilizing lean concepts.

Develop strong project management foundations and drive Operations Mechanisms including Performance and Visual Management to Deliverables and Critical Path.

Implement Daily Management System on Projects and utilize advanced lean tools such as Obeya/War Room, Lean Certifications, Escalation Systems, 3P, Design for Manufacturing, etc.

Be able to develop and coach cross-functional teams on Project Management, Lean and Process Development foundations.

Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate properly at all levels in the Company in order to fulfill customer needs within budget and on time.

Seek for new technologies that will support growth in Industry 4.0/Brilliant Factory/Digital.

Partner with Finance team in order to manage CAPEX and be able to track spending and find ways to improve companys cost position.

Hands on approach to process development partnering with Value Stream Leaders to allow smooth transition from Design to Manufacturing Operations.

Understand all aspects of manufacturing throughout the Plant (Order to Ship) in order to proactively solve and anticipate potential issues during Project and Product launches.


Strong understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.

Strong communication and analytical skills.

Advanced proficiency with MS Office programs (specifically excel and PowerPoint), flow-charts, and presentations.

Intermediate knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles, as well as budget planning processes.

Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Prefer 5 years of project management experience in the medical industry.


Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 6 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
