**Position Title: Lead Scientist - Flow Cytometry**


**Overview**

(Many were recruited from outside the area). Seeking a Flow Cytometry Scientist to work within its GLP bioanalytical laboratory in a CRO environment. This position will support clients in support of drug development, preclinical and clinical studies and will serve as lead scientist for studies, with the ability to carry out all aspects from study set-up through reporting as well as development.


**Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:**


+ Plan and carry out all phases of assigned projects including, R&D, ensure adequate supplies, method validation, test procedure preparation, sample analysis, data calculation, interpretation & review, troubleshooting and report preparation.

+ Design basic experiments & evaluate outcome vs. current SOPs, protocols other relevant standards; recommend appropriate course of action as necessary.

+ Act as lead scientist, provide work instructions and technical training to more junior scientific staff in the conducting of assigned projects.

+ Interact with clients and/or auditors as necessary.


**Education/Experience Requirements:**


+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ Masters degree or Ph.D. in a biological science with a background in immunology, virology, or cell biology with 3-4 years of Flow Cytometry experience required (with the ability to design panels, preferred), or Medical Technologist with 6 years of Flow Cytometry experience.

+ Experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical setting with GLP/GxP experience is a plus.Other relevant experience includes cell culture, MTT and cell killing assays, ELISA and ELISPOT.

+ Direct experience with HPLC, UPLC, UV-Vis Instrumentation and troubleshooting.Solid HPLC/UPLC chromatography method development skillsets. (e.g. RP, NP, SEC, mixed mode, etc.).

+ Understanding of GLP requirements, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

+ Ability to lift 20 pounds.

+ Sit or stand for extended periods of time.

+ Convey complex information clearly and concisely.
