**Job Title** : Lean (TEOA) Engineer

**Department:** TEOA

**Reports To** : TEOA Site Manager

**FLSA STATUS:** Non-Exempt

**JOB SUMMARY** : This position is responsible for helping develop, deploy and execute the TEOA business management system within the Plymouth facility, working directly with the site Manager. This position will leverage TEOA tools to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Leadtime.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** : Other duties may be assigned.

+ Drive lean implementation in alignment with the assigned facilitys strategic and annual goals.

+ Mentor and train employees on TEOA systems, tools and applications

+ Develop strong leadership competencies, be a leader and change agent for all managers, area leads and line leads.

+ Help develop and deploy lean tools and problem-solving standards

+ Perform Gemba walks with various leaders.

+ Drive improvement through using the Socratic method (ask the right questions to provide insight during the Gemba walks).

+ Support the Plymouth facility management team to set the TEOA vision for the facility and develop gap plans and corresponding action items to achieve this vision. Help implement the vision as needed.

+ Help identify and lead strategic kaizen events, in both business and manufacturing processes.

+ Help lead internal ELS assessments and train facility personnel in lean tools and lean management.

+ Effectively interface with teams ranging from staff level to shop floor personnel.

+ Transfer best practices across product lines within the Plymouth site and TE.



**COMPETENCIES:** To perform this job successfully, and individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

+ Requires a highly motivated self-starter, with strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated collaborative style that promotes and champions change.

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

+ Demonstrated project management skills

+ Analytically minded and data-driven

+ Ability to teach and coach effectively

+ Ability to plan, organize and motivate others

**Education and/or Experience**

High School diploma with 2-year vocational degree required, 4-yr degree preferred in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or related field or working toward a degree in these fields. 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a lead role preferred.
