**Logistics Specialist, Hershey, PA**

**Four-month contract via Kelly Engineering**

**_*This role can be performed remotely, however candidates should be local to Hershey for training and be available to come on site when needed._**


Must be able to perform all Specialist CS Logistics job responsibilities at a high level of understanding and accuracy.

+ Serve and be recognized as Subject Matter Expert for all Logistics Operations activities.

+ Demonstrate leadership in the areas of process and systems knowledge as well as attention to detail.

+ Lead by example in the areas of focus, commitment, positive attitude, and demonstration of all Hershey values.

+ Proactively take on any new responsibilities required of the team, establish best practices and standardize activities to ensure a smooth transition to daily activities.

+ Own process standardization, documentation and training materials.

+ Accountable for training all team members on standardized procedures.

+ Responsible for training internal and external partners on team processes and roles.

**Major Duties/Responsibilities:**

The Team has end to end responsibility for a set of carriers assigned to each team member. The end to end responsibilities include:

+ Approving accessorial fees as orders are being delivered

+ Disposition of refused/damaged products as orders are being delivered

+ Disposition/reporting of accidents as orders and STOs are being delivered

+ Resolution of any delivery issue when a carrier arrives at a customers location

+ Review of overages, shortages and damages that are posted in the portal throughout the day for disposition and credit to customers if needed

**In addition to the above as part of the end to end responsibilities this position will also be responsible** for:

+ McLane monthly return process

+ Customer disputes related to OS&Ds

+ Process and collect freight claims from the carriers

+ Pool product returns

**Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

+ Computer skills including data entry, PC, Windows, database and spreadsheet techniques.

+ Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange and related transactions.

+ Understanding of Logistics information systems and system handoffs (i.e. SAP, Transplace)

+ Understanding of warehouse operations

+ Understanding of carrier operations.

+ Analytical/math and problem solving skills.

+ Order to Cash process knowledge, understanding of related transactions, policies and guidelines, and performance measurements.

+ Understanding of customer operations and customer requirements.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Interpersonal communication skills, relationship management, and collaboration skills

+ Understanding of product line and related Logistic product characteristics.

+ Understanding of customer groups and unique requirements such as in-bound distribution.

+ Ability to make effective cost vs. service decisions.

+ Ability to prioritize many tasks and decisions.

**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:**


+ B.S. Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or equivalent preferred.


+ Minimum of 4 years experience in Logistics with a working knowledge of shipment planning, transportation, and customer service.

+ The successful candidate must be a strong team player with proven ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers, have excellent written and oral communications skills, be results orientated, and able to achieve service and operating objectives with little direction.

**Important information:** This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch. Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
