**Job Description**

Kelly Services is currently seeking Machine Operators for a client in Kennesaw, GA. The successful machine operator will ensure machine speed, load, and output are accurate according to specifications; measure machine output to ensure uniformity; prepare tooling set-ups on machines to meet customer specification and record and report discrepancies (both in writing and verbally) to supervisor and/or quality assurance personnel. 1st & 3rd shift opportunities are available.

Shift Times:

1st: 6:45a-3:15p

2nd: 2:45p-11:15p

3rd: 10:45a-7:15a


- Prepares tooling set-ups on machines for a given shift.

- Adjusts the Long Way Opening/Long Way Diamond (-LWO/LWD-), Short-Way Opening/Short Way Diamond (-SWO/SWD-, Strand

Width/Finished Thickness, and Finished Width of the expanded metal mesh to meet customer-s specifications.

- Determines when tooling changes are required.

- Sets-up and adjust tension of the rewinder, as required.

- Loads raw material and adjust guides (if applicable) to bond edges of material.

- Monitors all machines to ensure expanded metal measurements meet customer specifications.

- Measures actual output for width variance, thickness variance and other non-conforming discrepancies.

- Completes required documentation to support quality/programming details of output data in a legible and accurate manner.

- Works in partnership with Quality Assurance staff, in order to review output data.

- Completes control and non-conforming reports daily.

- Report any machine malfunctions/operation issues to Supervisor immediately.

- Maintain a clean work area daily.

- Monitor inventory levels and initiate re-ordering of all related consumable material associated with department to the Supervisor. (i.e.

boxes, labels, poly bags, cores, raw coils, etc.)



- Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, divide and proper use of decimals, fractions and percentages.

- Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills under light supervision.

- Safe practices procedures.


- Operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with established production/quality standards (SOP), efficiently and safely.

- Inspect In-process/Finished products in accordance with product specifications, using all of the following: micrometer, caliper, tape

measure, square, pin gauges, and vision system (on-the-job training available, pending Assessment Test results).

- Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production schedules.


- High School Diploma or equivalent, desired, but not required.

- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred, but not required).

- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, challenge-driven with a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving excellence.
