Machine operator -

Set up, operate, inspect, and monitor of coating machines to apply adhesive to different web widths of paper, film, metal, or fabric to produce customized pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. Label master rolls.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY Under the direction of the Production Manager and/or Lead Operator, and with minimal supervision, sets up and operates production machines. Following product specifications the Machine Operator loads raw specified materials, sets process parameters, monitors production, and adjusts the machine to correct problems. The machine operator meets departmental safety and efficiency standards, and product quality requirements, in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.

-Loads specified materials into machine.

-Reads written instructions to determine required materials to be used, set up, and operate machine to product that meets specification.

-Enters process set points into machine per work instructions. Observes and reacts to machine readouts.

-Visually inspects and/or tests/measures all product produced to meet quality requirements.

-Unloads finished product. Labels and packages per specification.

-Transports raw materials or finish products to and from warehouse or staging areas.

-Performs daily, routine maintenance on machine.

-Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.

-Effectively manages own time to minimize machine down time.

-Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex production problems.

-Knows and adheres to standards of quality, productivity, and safety.

-Completes transactions in ERP system as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT May be required to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hair net, and/or uniform. The machine operator may work with solvents, chemicals, and adhesives.

**Requirements**

6 pm - 6 am. MUST HAVE DISSIPATING SAFETY BOOTS FOR STATIC CONTROL

The Machine Operator is required as a minimum, to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Able to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, ratios, and percentages.

Mechanically inclined.

Basic computer knowledge
