Description **Job Description**
The Machinist is responsible for executing the manufacturing of machined parts to print specifications. This could be done on any CNC or manual milling machine, lathe, grinder, or whirler.
-To accomplish this it will require them to:
-Run their assigned machine in a safe and productive manner
-Read and understand print requirements for each unique part number
-Measure and verify their work to the part print
-Make adjustments to the part program or manual operation in order to maintain quality, and productivity
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-The primary responsibilities of all Machinists are:
-Work in a safe, and courteous manner.
-Machine parts to meet LSI, and customer specifications.
-Meet required production and productivity targets.
-Measuring work pieces and progress of work.
-Maintaining all tools and ensuring proper working order.
-Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure quality standards
-Read and understand directions.
-Changing cutting or grinding tools as required.
-Ability to load and unload parts with assistance into fixtures.
-Advanced understanding of blueprints, and work orders.
