Description **Job Description**

Process extruded material through the vulcanization and chlorination processes.

A respirator is required to be used in this area. Respirator use requires no facial hair or anything that would interfere with the effectiveness of the respirator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet all production standards.

Understanding and achievement of all quality requirements specified in HPN.

Correct or notify lead/supervisor of any quality problems with material.

Follow all processing specifications outlined in the BOP (basic operating procedure).

Maintain a clean work environment using the 5S cleaning form.

Operate vulcanizers and chlorinators.

Operate progressive reeler for Braider Department.

Prepare work in process (WIP) for further processing by tying, plugging, and pulling off material.

Prepare and maintain paperwork for production reports, follower cards, and titration charts.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate extruders in the absence of Extruder Operator.

2. All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Knowledge of Word Processing Software, Master Control, and BPCS.

3. Tow motor and pallet truck certification.

4. Ability to lift up to and /or move up to 50 pounds.
