Maintenance/Public Safety/Security Officer


Pensacola State College


Thursday & Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm Warrington Campus

Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm Main Campus


Pay Rate: $10.20/hr.


Available to escort employees/students to their vehicles

Assist members of the campus community with directions to locations and answer college-related questions

Write parking violation citations; issue parking decals; give directions during patrol of the campus

Lock and/or unlock classrooms; lock buildings at night and monitor campuses on weekends and holidays

Assist students with minor issues (keys locked in cards, dead batteries, flat tires, etc.)

Be alert to and report criminal challenges to campus police and deal with non-law enforcement security issues

Assist in identifying safety issues on campus and assist Environmental Management Supervisor with assigned safety duties

Make copies, run departmental errands

Assist with parking during special events held on the campuses or outlying facilities

May be required to perform key assistance, assist patrol units with traffic control and other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Must be able to walk long distances without difficulty

Must be able to stand for extended period of time

High School Diploma or GED

2 years work experience
