**Temp to Perm Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm**


**Summary of Position:**


Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Electrical Worker performs all duties necessary to ensure all electrical equipment is running effectively and properly maintained. The incumbent should have sufficient knowledge to trouble shoot and resolve all electrical problems.


**Essential Duties:**


+ Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

+ Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.

+ Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.

+ Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.

+ Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.

+ Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.

+ Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.

+ May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

+ May be required to hold electrician's license.

+ Ensures all maintenance and repair activities are in compliance with OSHA, Federal, Local and plant safety standards.


**Physical Demands and Environment:**


This position requires the dexterity to work on equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, exposure to noise, and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.


**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**


+ Knowledge of environmental, safety, building and other laws related to the operation of a plant;

+ Knowledge of permit requirements for wood pellet manufacturing;

+ Knowledge of feedstock options;

+ Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operations including safety rules and regulations;

+ Understanding of electrical principles and applications;

+ Ability to operate a fork truck and other warehouse/shipping equipment;

+ Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.


**Education, Experience and Training:**


+ High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

+ 2 or more years of related experience.
