**Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Contract) (Maintenance Mechanic)** job located in **Edison, NJ.** The main task of the Maintenance Mechanic is to optimize the compounding, production and packaging of goods ensuring that all the equipment is working properly. The role of the mechanic is very important in the manufacturing unit. He/she must be able to understand all safety norms and follow industry standards. He/she must work as part of the maintenance team. He/she must have good written and communication skill, manage time effectively and meet deadlines which are specified. He must have knowledge in mechanical, engineering, electrical, plumbing, or any related field.





**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**




+ Analyze packaging results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.

+ Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

+ Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.

+ Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.

+ Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.

+ Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.

+ Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.

+ Repair and maintain the operating condition of production and processing machinery and equipment.

+ Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery, tanks, mixers, gear boxes, VFDs, and all process related equipment.

+ Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.

+ Fabricate and install new parts as required.

+ Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.

+ Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.

+ Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.

+ Build electric control panels and operating systems

+ Service and repair pneumatic controlled equipment

+ Maintain and repair support equipment, boilers, air compressors, DI water system, waste water system, cooling water systems





**SKILLS:**




+ Production/Processing Equipment Maintenance tube fillers, liquid fillers, labelers, coders, pumps, tanks, mixers, gear boxes, and drives.

+ Repair

+ Troubleshooting

+ Operations and Control: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Machinist, Facility





**QUALIFICATIONS:**




+ A High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification

+ Bachelors degree or an associates degree in mechanical, engineering, or any other related discipline

+ Work experience of 5-7 years minimum as a Class A Maintenance Mechanic in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or related industry.
