**Position Description:**


Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled associate within our Timonium, MD manufacturing facility and our Baltimore Distribution Center (BDC). Associate in this role possess skills to keep the manufacturing machines in good working order and in compliance with a focus on Environmental Health, Safety (EHS) and quality in all maintenance activities. Must have demonstrated problem solving techniques to get to a root cause. A Maintenance Mechanic must be able to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including but not limited to electrical and mechanical maintenance work such as: installation, fabrication, assembly, set-up, diagnosis, troubleshooting maintenance-related work on plant equipment, services and facilities. This will requre the use and experience using hand and maintenance tools and skills. Also required is ability to work from blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions. This incumbent must be team oriented and willing to assist others on the maintenance team, production lines, contractors, etc.


Job Functions:


+ Read and understand the maintenance manuals for all machines and all areas for all facilities

+ Learn and follow standard work for all areas within maintenance facilities

+ Conduct Daily 5S activities and performs standard work

+ Repair various types of equipment or machinery breakdowns, while at the same time possessing the ability to modify or recommend modifications to reduce or eliminate these same breakdowns

+ Can perform general welding (repair and modification work)

+ Investigate and solve problems through the root cause analysis (RCA) or through Problem Solving Process (PSP)

+ Demonstrated fabrication and machining skills, including being knowledgeable and able to work on pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems

+ Able to analyze, memorize and conduct and comprehend mathematical tasks

+ Can make decisions and have sound judgment

+ Install, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.

+ Read and can draw technical diagrams and blueprints

+ Perform general electrical maintenance with oversight by a qualified electrician

+ Can repair and/or replace equipment

+ Responsible for the mechanical preventive maintenance

+ Good knowledge of various test equipment

+ Has a clear understanding of Kanban and utilizes on a daily basis

+ Process oriented with desire and ability to participate in Kaizen / process improvement events

+ Follow instructions from maintenance team lead(s) and operations leadership team members

+ Partner with team members and train associates, as required, in all areas within maintenance / facilities

+ Follow quality standards for all equipment within maintenance facilities

+ Responsible for organizing and maintaining maintenance part inventories

+ Thoroughly completes an hourly scorecard

+ Ensure safe work conditions and identifies/improves environmental health and safety

+ Ability to create and close out work orders within an automated maintenance management system

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

+ Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time.

+ Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.

+ Other duties as assigned


Minimum Experience Required:


+ Must have minimum of two (2) years maintenance and/or electrical experience.

+ High School Graduate or Equivalent

+ Mechanical/Electrical trade school degree (preferred)

+ Microsoft / PC experience

+ Good machining skills

+ Strong communication skills

+ Self-motivated and well-organized

+ Team Oriented

+ Must be able to read and write statements and reports


Additional details:


+ Direct Hire!!

+ Full-time opportunities, 3 different shifts available.

+ Pay: $26-35/hr (this will depend on experience and education)
