**Job Description:**



The Maintenance Planner is a person experienced in Maintenance who has the skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope. The package contains all information about required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.



**Responsibilities:**




+ Uses quality feedback from the Person Doing Work to optimize the FLOC Task List

+ Reviews PM orders for technical completeness and return PM orders to gatekeeper if not complete Uses, where possible, a FLOC or Global General Task List for basis of actual plan. Follows Plan to Standard (PTS) operating discipline.

+ Carry out field check when needed

+ Prepare job package and input plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.

+ When materials availability has been confirmed, store job in active backlog.

+ Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan.

+ Identify materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.

+ Identify/solicit safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.

+ Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy: Specific

+ Assures all job packages will have a 1) procedure or, 2) the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released.

+ If a procedure does not exist, follow Non-Existent Procedure Process to obtain a procedure.

+ Reviews maintenance procedure and ensures all safety and hazard related issues are addressed within the job plan. References documentation such as the EMETL standard, PPE Grid, MSDS or equivalent during planning and includes relative information in the job plan.

+ Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy: General (locally defined)

+ May be asked to perform technical reviews of procedures

+ May serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review

+ Supports development of the Procedure Exemption List

+ Creates/develops/changes/updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure MOCs as required.

+ Record tasks/information within the PM order

+ Notify other crafts of their requirement to provide input to job plan (verbal, communication sub)

+ Create FLOC Task List for repetitive job plans

+ Creates DMS records for repetitive picture sheets and procedures

+ Consider constructability and maintainability when developing plans

+ Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications

+ Utilizes the Most Effective Technology where applicable

+ Ensures job plans adhere to Client EH&S Standards and local regulations/standards that are legally required or more stringent than Client EH&S Standards

+ Follow Make Product Repair and Maintain Work Process

+ Develop (plans for) job packages

+ Demonstrate proficiency in use of the approved maintenance information systems (ex. Maintenance work order, maintenance purchasing, maintenance planning and scheduling, pipe specification system, etc.)

+ Field plan

+ Recognize safety needs

+ Utilize technical resources

+ Collect specific procedures as relevant to the job (e.g. Safety) to include in job package

+ Access and utilize Most Effective Technology (MET)

+ Recognize deviations from Most Effective Technology and recommend upgrades

+ Understand and follow the Maintenance Reporting Business Rules

+ Conduct job site inspections

+ Use Critical Path Methodology in job plans

+ Estimating skills

+ Reference procedures and specifications

+ Use piping specifications

+ Use Maintenance Operating Discipline

+ Specify materials for requisitioning (parts, cost, deliver, etc.)

+ Participate in a Root Cause Analysis

+ Task List Archived plans

+ MPWP and Work Process contacts

+ Job package

+ Approved maintenance information systems (ex. Maint work order, maint purchasing, maint planning and scheduling, pipe specification system, etc.

+ Field planning

+ Utilize AMSL (Approved Manufacturer and Supplier List) to identify appropriate suppliers and equipment under contract

+ Utilize AMSL (Approved Manufacturer and Supplier List) to identify appropriate labor contractors approved for site

+ Utilizes Purchasings Supplier Site Specific Information web page to confirm labor suppliers have current authorizations

+ Working knowledge of EH&S Standards or know who to contact for specific application to job plans
