Our client, an American publicly traded biopharmaceutical company, is currently seeking a Manager, Planning and Reporting for a 2 year contract position with the opportunity for an extension. The position is located in North Chicago, IL.

**The hours and pay for this position are as follows:**

+ The hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday Friday

+ The pay rate for this position is up to $47.75 per hour W2

**Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):**

**Group Cost & Delta Profit calculation and reporting for Actual reporting and Planning cycles**

+ Execute group costing in SAP for new or changes to legal cost or supply chains

+ Analyze and correct Group Cost discrepancies

+ Work with manufacturing plants and Financial Share Services teams (FSS) to ensure that the legal costs are updated in SAP in a timely manner

+ Develop inventory analysis reports and analyze variances. Work closely in conjunction with Operations to identify and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner

+ Copy activity rates between versions to properly account for currency exchange changes. (necessary for Prelim/Final Plan and Ad-hoc requirements)

**Plan Cost Change**

+ Calculate and analyze year over year cost changes for Prelim/Final Plan

+ Reconcile with Manufacturing Operations and provide summary analytics to support Global Commercial

+ Facilitate regular cross-functional reviews of product costs and financial flows and collaborate with key stakeholders and report any Supply Changes impact to management

+ Develop and lead annual product group cost training for the Sales & Margin, FSS, and Manufacturing Finance teams

+ Communicate and align with Operations teams regarding the setup/use of inter-company sourced materials in the billed of materials (BOMs)

**Month End Close**

+ Analyze revenue recognition adjustments booked by Affiliates for impact of intercompany profit, calculate and prepare entries and impact on a monthly basis

+ Calculate month end deferred margin for use in DOH purposes, provide to Ops including commentary on significant changes

+ Provide split of Deferred margin between Raw Materials , Open Work Orders and, Finished Goods. Book any reclasses needed for consolidation

+ Summarize and report deferred margin on inventory reserves, prepaid samples and unapproved inventory

+ Calculate year over year exchange on earned margin, book entry to correct performance/exchange split in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).


+ Ensure compliance with internal controls in order to meet Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements in compliance with GAAP and company established policies and procedures

+ Interact with external/internal auditors as required

+ Interact and provide support to company Corporate Tax as required

Requires a Bachelors Degree in an Accounting / Finance or related field and 7+ years of experience including leading cross functional teams, complex data analysis, independent problem solving and experience with Costing and SAP. Must have SAP and Cost Accounting experience (pharma or manufacturing preferred). Experience in Supply Chain Finance Operations preferable. Must have experience with Consolidation and Reporting. Must also be efficient with Process or Data Management. Must have excellent analytical, communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills. Must be able to see a big picture and understand how the processes fit together.
