**Title:** Manufacturing Assembly Technician

**PayRate:** $16/hr

**Shift:** 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

**Primary Function:** Responsible for assembling and building products utilizing various tools in manufacturing activities. Occasionally provides support in the form of documentation and troubleshooting until units/parts are completed to acceptable test procedures and routing operations.

**Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:**

+ Performs processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies, subassemblies, some electrical wiring, and wire harness assembly using common hand tools and electronic lab tooling.

+ Tests functional performance of assembly and observes and records results.

+ Assembles products according to routings and blueprints; measures parts to specified tolerances.

+ Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required.

+ Uses hand tools, chemicals and adhesives as needed.

+ Maintains and monitors test equipment as necessary to ensure continued accuracy.

+ Keeps assembly department and surrounding areas clean.

+ Keeps production supervisors advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.

+ Demonstrate Technical Capacity, Learning Orientation, Time Management, and Thoroughness Skills.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment including tools and assembly production areas.

+ Communicate and understand client needs, which may fluctuate depending on workflow.

**Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)**

+ High School or GED Diploma required.

+ Minimum 2 years of recent direct or related experience required.

+ Experience or familiarity with power screw drivers and hand tools required.

+ Experience with typical electronic lab equipment and ESD safe practices a plus.

+ Basic computer literacy skills, basic file structure understanding, and web navigation; working knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

+ Experience and ability reading and creating simple schematics; able to strictly follow engineering directions or procedures as required.

+ Ability to prioritize workload.

+ Demonstrated attention-to-detail work habits.

+ Hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude skills required.

+ Strong basic math skills.

+ Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group, which includes client communication/interaction.

+ Demonstrate commitment and adherence to the companys Core Values.

+ Pass a post-offer background verification.

**Work Environment:** Standard lab/production environment with minimum PPE required while in the lab. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.
