**Equipment Maintenance Technician**

**Shift: Multiple**

**Pay: $25-$35/hr**

**Summary:** To perform electrical and mechanical repairs or preventative maintenance in order to ensure production equipment performs as required.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Installs, alters, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical molding and printing equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC system.

Installs and trouble shoots mechanical or electrical support equipment (conveyors, box sealing machines, grinding equipment, stackers, etc.)

Preventative maintenance in molding.

Preventative maintenance for support equipment.

Maintain PM files - database

Maintain work-order files database.

Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and (HACCP) Practices.

Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager

Must Know the Quality Policy, Food Safety Policy and apply it to working practices.

Ability to operate overhead cranes

Follow all Lock-Out Tag-out procedures

Must be able to work in a team environment and help others as needed.

**Required Tools for this position** :

Allen Key Set (Metric 1.5mm to 10mm and Standard 1/16' to 3/8")

Allen Socket Set Metric(5mm to 17mm) and Standard(3/16' to 1/2")

3/8' and 1/2"Drive Ratchets and Metric and Standard Sockets.

Standard and Metric Wrench Sets

Ball Peen Hammer

Screw Driver Sets( Flats and Phillips)

Pliers ( Needle Nose, Channel Lock and Standard)

Wire Cutters and Strippers and Crimpers

Tape Measure

Adjustable Wrenches

**Education and/or Experience:**

Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education or experience.

**Language Skills:**

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

**Mathematical Skills:**

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

**Reasoning Ability:**

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
