**Manufacturing Buyer - Full Time - Direct Hire**



In search of a manufacturing buyer who has experience in the planning process and working with third party vendors. The buyer will provide procurement sourcing of items and ensuring critical packaging material for the facility are on time and at the best price. The position works closely with different departments including operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactional documents. **Duties and Responsibilities**




+ Balance the demand and the supply and reaching the inventory targets

+ Prepare the S&OP information in a monthly basis

+ Ensure monthly production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation

+ Build relationship with external manufacturing suppliers

+ Define inventory policies to allow forecasts to be accurately translated into manufacturing production

+ Control inventory levels of finish goods, intermediates, and raw materials to ensure they stay within planned levels.




+ Monitor Excess and Obsolete inventory and drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to reduce the inventory at risk.

+ Communicate supply issues to the commercial team

+ Ensure that operational Key Performance Indicators are met, and improvement plans are in place when required.




+ Facilitate bids, analysis and negotiations for MRO goods and services

+ Assists Supply Chain Manager in the preparation of all required sourcing recommendations.

+ Conducts quoting of various commodities as required.

+ Processes purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely manner; expedites orders as necessary.

+ Prepare the supplier compliances, find out and eliminate root causes to improve the supplier performance

+ Sources new suppliers for parts and/or services under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager.

+ Contribute to the cost savings goals and prepare and present the projected

+ savings report



**Qualifications**




+ Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering

+ 5 years of experience working in a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environmental utilizing analytical skills to plan and buy for a large supply chain

+ Advanced computer skills with superior Excel skills to provide data for buying and planning
