Description **Manufacturing Engineer Position Available (Direct Hire) - Fort Wayne, IN**

**Kelly Services is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for one of their top manufacturing clients in the Fort Wayne area.**

A **Manufacturing Engineer** in the textiles industry is responsible for making sure **manufacturing** equipment and **production** processes run safely, cost effectively within quality parameters according to planned protocols using the appropriate technology. This role is split into three main areas: data maintenance, optimization and implementation.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Liaison between Corporate Team and Local Manufacturing Team for production forecast
+ Schedule production floor: set initial plan with ability to adjust on the fly to meet OTCC goal.
+ Analyzing the existing operations and initiating process improvements using time studies, line balancing, and other tools
+ Developing assembly equipment and production cells including process maps, value stream mapping, and work instruction development
+ Training operators on new processes and procedures
+ Participating in New Product Development process to ensure that product designs incorporate Design for Manufacturing principles
+ Performing cost analysis to support both New Product Development and existing equipment needs
+ Maintaining system integrity for manufacturing product information
+ Creating routings to manage material flow through the manufacturing process
+ Creating/maintaining plant floor and manufacturing area layout drawings
+ Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions
**Education Requirements**


+ BS in Engineering, any kind, from an accredited college required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
**Experience**


+ Minimum 2 years manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment required
+ Some travel (less than 2%) required.
**Skill Requirements** (Technical, Communication, Interpersonal, etc.)


+ ERP experience, SAP preferred
+ Experience managing data sets within Excel; v-lookups, pivots, etc
+ Application of lean manufacturing principles with a proven track record of success
+ Communicating effectively with management, teams, engineers, and the shop floor
+ Excelling in problem solving, innovation, team participation, and self-motivation.
+ Managing process improvement activities on multiple and concurrent projects, demonstrating a sense of urgency
+ Working with teams to achieve Quality, Cost and Timing targets
