Company Overview:

Client, International manufacturer for the dental industry, develops, produces, and markets innovative disposable applicators designed for the placement of controlled amounts of materials in hard-to-reach areas.


We are looking for a strong Manufacturing Engineer to join Grafton, Wisconsin location. The Manufacturing Engineer designs and operates manufacturing systems and uses continuous improvement methodologies and engineering acumen to drive overall business success. This role will develop new processes and improve on existing manufacturing processes and layouts within the plant. This role will also be responsible for transitioning product from R&D to manufacturing and will serve as a project manager for the acquisition of new equipment as needed. The hours required for this 1st shift position are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

This position is a Direct Hire role.


Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.

Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.

Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, equipment, or processes.

Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.

Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.

Support the transition of new product to manufacturing (i.e. cost, resources, process).

Create CAD or solid works drawings of parts or layouts to support improvements.

Develop procedures on the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Program and/or troubleshoot PLC logic as needed.

Train production personnel in new or existing methods.

Create BOM and Routings for products.

Work with and support the automation team to implement and integrate new automation designs into manufacturing.


Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent required.

5-10 years of practical, hands on experience in machine design, Solidworks, and basic Machine PLC Programming.

CAD and Solid Works experience required.

Must be experienced working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions (Microsoft Office Suite -Excel, Power Point, and Outlook and ERP systems).

Basic level of PLC programming experience.

Experience working with Plastic Injection Molding is preferred.
