Kelly Services is seeking an **Manufacturing Engineer** for our well-known client in the **Medical Device industry** in **Mahwah NJ.** The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline; degree in Biomedical and/or Materials Engineering preferred with 0-3 years of experience in an operations testing lab environment. **This is a 6-12-month contract role with a possibility of extension.**

**Job Description**



**Purpose:**




+ Contract engineer will ensure proper and continuous operation of the lab equipment, testing processes and system.

+ You will additionally lead base business projects and processes and work with cross functional teams to increase productivity and reduce cost.

+ Responsible for review of testing worksheets in electronic laboratory system for Tensile, Izod Impact Strength, FTIR and Density tests and initiating and processing inspection documents for receipt of production material.

+ Work cross-functionally with Quality, Operations and R&D to lead the approval of the inspection documents.

+ Provide technical support for quality control, process improvement, equipment qualifications, and process validations.

+ Operate within Clients quality system to produce documentation such as, inspection plans, equipment maintenance logs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Investigate Quality issues (NC/CAPA) for root cause and recommend/implement corrective/preventive actions.

+ Manage Engineering Change Controls, Change Notices and Change Tasks for process changes from creation to final approval.

+ Basic Minitab experience preferred Basic knowledge on material characterization and analysis preferred Knowledge of GMP and GDP in testing environments



**Required Experience** :




+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline; degree in Biomedical and/or Materials Engineering preferred

+ 0-3 years of experience in an operations testing lab environment

+ Relevant Co-Op/internship experience or project management experience is preferred

+ Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, must be comfortable presenting at team level meetings

+ Basic knowledge using Microsoft Office functions especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
