Description Manufacturing Engineer (Oakwood Village, Ohio)
Our client, a job-shop (Mazak, lathes/ mills), in currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to take new jobs, and write programs and tool up the jobs.

Experience with CAM software, Mastercam, Edgecam, etc. and CNC equipment (i.e. lathes, mills, etc.) preferred.

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for the development of manufacturing process, techniques and procedures that drive productivity of component parts used in the filter assemblies. Along with the primary duties this role also provides assistance to the engineering department by collaborating on new and existing component designs to ensure parts can be made accurately, efficiently and within budget.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Design and development of manufacturing processes including creation of CNC programs
Design, develop and specify tooling/fixturing for new and existing projects
Assist in the design/development of filter assemblies and components
Establish best practices for programming and set-ups and includes the implementation of manufacturing standards
Create detailed work instructions and document detailed machining plans
Review design documentation for manufacturability and ease of inspection
Troubleshoot and resolve related operational issues
Create and maintain documents consistent with ISO requirements
Provide input to and execute design changes as required for proper configuration control
Lead, train mentor machine operators and lessor skilled employees to improve throughput
Maintain shop raw material requirements and coordinate raw material supply through purchasing
Coordinate outside services to ensure quality and timely completion of components
Lead continuous improvement efforts throughout shop floor
Maintain a high level of organization and housekeeping of tools and equipment
Implement new machine tools on shop floor
Oversee rejected part complaints and initiate root cause corrective action documentation
Implement lean manufacturing techniques

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in a Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software preferably MASTERCAM
Experience in working with customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, production, is required
Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing
Experience working in manufacturing, assembly, and production environments
Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software preferably Solidworks
Experience interacting with all levels of employees is required
Experience with continuous improvement systems such as Lean Manufacturing or Kanban is preferred
Computer proficiency: familiarity with MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar suite is required; order entry software [Job Boss] is preferred

Education and Experience:
Education: Certificate in CNC Machining technology required. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
MAZAK CNC programming: 3 years
fluent in set up, programming, editing G code for Mazak machines /Mazak / CNC Programming
fluent in set up, programming, editing C code for Mazak machines
Fluent in programming Mastercam software:
Working knowledge in Solidworks CAD software preferred
