**Manufacturing Engineering Manager Position Available (Direct Hire) - Medway, MA**


Kelly Services is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for one of their top medical manufacturing clients in the Medway, MA area.





**Job Overview**



The Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for machining, grinding, welding and finishing-related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in machining, grinding, welding and finishing techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.





**Responsibilities & Qualifications**






+ Builds strong relationships and collaborates with product design, process design and quality functions.

+ As a member of the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team, develops strategies and tactics around global equipment and process standardization, automation road maps and staff development.

+ Ensures that inputs from all customers are understood, Manufacturing Engineering plans are appropriately developed, and drives accountability and execution to plans.

+ Strong communication skills are critical, demonstrating leadership communicating both up and down the organization.

+ Influences, guides, and manages internal/external resources to achieve business goals.

+ Aligns resources and assures cross-functional support, as well as identifies opportunities for improvement within the existing processes and systems.

+ Recruits, coaches, and develops organizational talent.

+ Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.




+ Provides direction and coaching to technicians and engineers.

+ Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.

+ Demonstrates effective change management.

+ Identifies and implements capital equipment requirements.

+ Identifies manufacturing process improvements, analyzes solutions, and implements best options. Acts as a key driver for plant productivity goals.

+ Participates in the Maintenance of ERP master data.





**Qualifications**






+ Minimum 10+ years of related experience and 5+ years in engineering leadership position preferred.

+ Experience in a Medical manufacturing or a highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Automotive) required. FDA or ISO 13485 preferred.

+ Strong cross-functional business acumen (Finance, Planning, Sales, Quality)

+ Strong leadership experience leading a technical team with challenging objectives and deliverables

+ Ability to communicate technical ideas, share the business vision, and motivate a team

+ Experience in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and transformation six sigma and lean background highly valued

+ Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results

+ Strong communication and coaching skills with all levels from shop flop to director level
