Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Support production operations by troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on production tools and equipment.

+ Produce small quantity battery builds by setting up and operating various equipment such as:

+ Powder compaction presses.

+ Robotic stacking machines.

+ Laser processing equipment for welding, marking and cutting.

+ Resistance welders.

+ Manufacturing jigs and fixtures.

+ Perform equipment changeovers.

+ Assist other team members with process development and documentation including the creation and updating of manufacturing work instructions.

+ Develop concepts for new manufacturing jigs and fixtures.

+ Support manufacturing process changes and new equipment qualifications:

+ Develop and document experimental procedures and equipment.

+ Build samples for test.

+ Measure and record process data.

+ Investigate production non-conformances to determine root cause and corrective action.

+ Participate in continuous improvement activities.

+ Other duties as required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

+ U.S. person as defined by the 22 C.F.R. 120.15

Required Skills:

+ Hands-on mechanical aptitude.

+ Creative problem solving.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Clear written and oral communication.

**Desired Skills and Background**

+ Associates degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, engineering technology or a similar field.

+ Operation of manual lathe, knee mill and surface grinder.

+ Operation and programming of CNC vertical mill with Fanuc Oi-MC controller.

+ Mechatronics coursework and/or experience including PLCs, robotics and various engineering disciplines.

+ Proficient use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
