Kelly is hiring for a **Manufacturing Lab Operator** position with one of our clients in **Eugene, OR.**

+ 1st shift 6am-2:30pm M-F

+ 12 months contract (May be extended or converted)

+ $17/hr

Job Description:

This is a position within the finished good manufacturing department. Responsibilities include formulating, filling, and labeling life science products following the appropriate documentation. This job entails working in a laboratory setting while completing routine work, with occasional variations from the norm, involving a moderate degree of complexity. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.

+ Works safely with chemicals and hazardous materials

+ Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures

+ Operates various filling and formulations equipment and machinery

+ Complete production and quality analysis of reagents, components and finished products in accordance with SOPs, work Instructions, and the production schedule.

+ Effectively communicate and interface with peers to ensure the completion of tasks

+ Comprehends and fills out production paperwork such as: Product Reconciliation, Label Reconciliation, Labor Sheets, Product Fill Checks, Torque Checks, Batch Records, etc.

+ Utilizes 5s methodology by keeping a clean and sanitary work area, cleans and sanitizes machinery, glassware or equipment as required

+ Works in fast-paced environment with changing priorities

+ Work in a laboratory setting and clean room environment while adhering to room specific PPE requirements

+ Ability to work overtime

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

+ Requires a High School Diploma

+ Requires 1- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

+ Demonstrated ability to carry out written basic production instructions required

+ Good problem-solving skills necessary

+ Demonstrated proficiency in the use of basic packaging techniques, equipment and protocol record retention

Preferred Skills:

+ 1-2 years of experience in a life science/biotechnology discipline preferred

+ BS (or AS + relevant experience) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or other related life science discipline preferred

+ Experience with collecting optical density measurements and precise formulation of bulk reagents

+ Experience with filling, capping and labeling using precision liquid handling tools and processes

+ Experience in manufacturing diagnostic products for research and regulated markets

+ Experience in completing documentation using GDP (Good Documentation Practices)

+ Basic computer skills necessary; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Physical Requirements:

+ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; reach; stoop; kneel; crouch; and sit for extended periods of time

+ Important to have finger and hand dexterity, and the ability to differentiate between colors

+ Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
