**Summary** :



Manufacturing Planning is responsible for the forecasting, planning and scheduling of manufacturing resources, including equipment and labor resources to efficiently achieve manufacturing goals as defined by internal and external customer expectations. Addresses conflicts and constraints in manufacturing to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Plan and procure material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels. Incumbent must comply with regulatory requirement, (Quality Systems Regulations, ISO, Quality Manual, EHS, etc.) as they apply to the position.



**Responsibilities** :




1. Responsible for timely procurement and monthly production adherence of assigned products, materials and supplies to support service level/inventory objectives.

2. Work with Customer Site and Strategic Management driving savings to the business unit. Identify, prioritize, evaluate and pursue opportunities for sourcing and cost reduction in alignment with the strategic, operating and financial objectives of Customer.

3. Ensure weekly and monthly plan attainment are met. Ensure on time shipment schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels at DC.

4. Responsible to prepare annual purchasing budget including on time price negotiations with suppliers based on projected volume.

5. Tracking orders until receipt including shipment tax releases using SURI and Levanta PR platforms. Confirming delivery times and status of backordered components. Communicate with suppliers on various issues to ensure timely delivery.

6. Monitor and disposition obsolete parts and supplier returns for rejected products.

7. Runs MRP daily; creates shop order packets, verifies availability of raw materials, works with Engineering as needed for material substitutions, KPIs on time reporting. Maintain PRMS database updated (purchasing and planning modules, product master scheduling screens, and related inventory master screens). Ensure product changes, new products and transfer activities are accounted for in the MPS related projections.

8. Analyses, approves Document Change Notice (DCN) to process phase-in, phase-out of products and determine appropriate action plan.

9. Assures compliance with local and federal Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations, such as OSHA, EPA and other standards and guidelines. Assist in identifying, qualifying and auditing suppliers of new materials to facilitate supplier consolidation process.

10. May perform other related duties to provide optimal plant manufacturing operations.



**Requirements** :



**Knowledge and skills:**




+ Computer literate. Software skills are required, as well as internet research abilities.

+ Proficiency in MRP and MPS systems

+ Good presentation and communication skills. Effectively present information/respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

+ Results oriented; critical, strategic thinker.

+ Read, analyze and interpret common scientific/technical journals, financial reports, legal documents.

+ Strong analytical and interpersonal management skills.

+ Fully bilingual Spanish and English.



**Education and/or experience:**




+ Business/Technical Courses./ BD

+ 2-4 years experience as a Material or Production Planner and/or Purchasing experience.

+ Knowledge of procurement practices and techniques preferred.

+ Work experience on MRP



**Physical environment/working conditions:**




+ Self-starter, results oriented, able to work under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines.

+ Work in an office with air conditioning.

+ Sitting position at least six (6) hours daily.

+ Results oriented
