**Title:** Manufacturing Planner

**Location:** West Hills, CA

**Duration:** 6 months **Overview**

+ Responsible for planning and scheduling all aspect of production.

+ Will require complex analysis of data to determine the most cost effective, optimal production schedule that Manufacturing can successfully execute.

+ Involve with the new product introduction and transfers, includes interaction with other departments to ensure that company objectives are met for business revenues and customer satisfaction.

+ Will drive continuously process improvement to improve key metrics such as OTIF, Backorder, Schedule Attainment, & Utilization.


+ Responsible for key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, maintaining Safety Stock levels of products and internal raw material shortages levels.

+ Coordinate production workflow for multiple product lines.

+ Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

+ Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

+ Schedule shift according to production needs.

+ Monitor the progress for each function to deliver the product on time.

+ Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.

+ Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)

+ Prepare and submit status and performance reports (PMD).

+ Maintenance of MRP master data parameters for established products and new product transfers to ensure accurate signals for quantity and dates generated by MRP (i.e. production lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock) to minimize excess inventory.

+ Implement material master changes, product structures, BOMs and Router into production process as required.

+ Recalculate orders and requirements as needed by analyzing trends in demand, changes in lead time, minimum order quantities, standard batch sizes and safety stock levels.

+ Follow up on open orders and partial shipments and expedite as required.

+ Attend daily management stand -up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on planning and production issues impacting replenishment to management.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, data scientists or equivalent relevant experience can be considered.

+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience in planning and scheduling.

+ Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook), PowerPoint.

+ Excellent computer knowledge and in-depth working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP systems)

+ Knowledge of industry health and safety laws.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO Regulations and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.

+ Looking for planners, not buyers

**Required Competencies**

+ Project management skills

+ Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.

+ Strong organizational and time management skills.

+ Excellent math and statistics and problem-solving skills using Practical Process Improvement tools (RCCM).

+ Recognize problems, analyze, recommend solutions, and drives continuous improvements.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ APICS certified in Planning & Inventory Management preferable with medical device manufacturer experience a plus.

+ Six Sigma Certification a plus.

**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**

+ Normal office & manufacturing environment

+ Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required

+ Position will require sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time

+ Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

**Additional Information**

+ Monday Friday / 8:00am 5:00pm

+ Onsite position

+ Possible temp to hire depending on performance and business needs
